The Denso BHT-1700 mobile computer combines two worlds: the large display for easy work with apps and the easy-grip keyboard for reliable data entry. Together with the tilted scan head, they ensure fast and efficient barcode scanning in all environments.
The shatterproof 4″ touch display shows even extensive apps clearly and concisely. The 30 illuminated keys made of durable plastic make it easy to enter data, even when wearing gloves or handling large amounts of data.
The modern Android operating system of the Denso BHT-1700 offers the ease of use familiar from smartphones and can be expanded with our Mobile Device Management to include additional security and management options.
To ensure that even extensive tasks can be completed without fatigue, the mobile computer is particularly ergonomically designed and weighs only about 300 g. The sturdy construction resists drops from up to 2.5 m and the protection against dust and water is certified with IP67. The battery life is up to 33 hours, perfect for barcode scanning in multi-shift operation.

Particularly during long data collection processes — for example, during inventories — it is of great value to employees if a handheld terminal fits comfortably in their hands. Only then can they concentrate fully on their work and realize their full potential. The handle of the BHT-M60 handheld scanner is therefore shaped to fit perfectly into the hand and feel like its natural extension. Users can comfortably position their index finger in the indentation on the back, which in turn can be used to apply counter-pressure when pressing the front release button.
Powerful scanning performance.
Equipped with the most powerful DENSO scan engine currently available on the market, the BHT-M60 series mobile computers deliver strong scanning performance. Labels that usually cause problems with laser sensors — smudged, poorly printed or bent — can be read quickly and effortlessly thanks to the scan engine. Even highly reflective surfaces, such as glass and metal, are no longer an obstacle, thanks to the angled scan head that scans codes at a 40° angle. Another advantage: during the scanning process, the user can adopt a natural hand posture while the display is always in full view.
Fast and effortless scanning.
The built-in DENSO Scan Engine sets the bar high in terms of scanning speed. Thanks to the high speed at which a code is read several times a second, several labels can be read one after the other in one fluid movement (trace scanning), instead of the comparatively slow stop-and-go variant.
Short training phases thanks to Android operating system.
The mobile computers of the BHT-M60 series are equipped with Android 10 as standard. Thanks to the widespread use and familiarity of this intuitive operating system, users can get started almost immediately without having to spend a long time learning how to use the data capture devices.

Hard Keyboard Ime (Bht-1700 Only) — Denso BHT-1700 Series User Manual
Use of Hard Keyboard IME enables the switching of entry mode with [FN] key and [ALP] key on the BHT-1700 keyboard.
To use Hard Keyboard IME, select Hard Keyboard IME according to the above mentioned selection of keyboard you would like
Note that a software keyboard cannot be used when Hard Keyboard IME is used.
